Public Arts Advisory Commission
The Public Arts Advisory Commission’s general purpose is to advise the mayor and council concerning policies regarding the role and value of public art and to make recommendations to the mayor and council regarding requests to donate or loan works of art to the city. This Commission meets bi-monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall, 419 Fulton Street, Room 110.
Breakfast Chat w/ Councilmen Zachary Oyler & Sid Ruckriegel
The monthly Breakfast Chat meetings were established in 2009 to give citizens an opportunity to sit down with Council Members and other City of Peoria Staff to discuss a variety of topics and concerns. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings monthly at City Hall in Conference Room 112.
Coffee & Conversation with Councilman Montelongo
Council Member Jim Montelongo will be hosting his Coffee & Conversation from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Panera Bread at West Lake Shopping Center.
Please come meet with Peoria Council Member Jim Montelongo and discuss City Council issues that primarily impact 4th district residents. The community is welcome to attend and discuss issues that impact their home, neighborhood or city.

Fire Department Badge Pinning Ceremony
The city of Peoria will hold a Badge Pinning Ceremony on Tuesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. to acknowledge the promotion of members within the department. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held at Central Fire Station, 505 N.E. Monroe Street.
The following Fire Fighters will be recognized during the ceremony: Tony Ardis, Fire Chief; James Bachman, Assistant Fire Chief; Shawn Sollberger, Division Chief of Operations; Stephen Rada, Battalion Chief; and Bobby Anderson, Captain.
Fire Fighters first receive their badges upon graduation from the Fire Academy. Subsequent Badge Pinning Ceremonies recognize promotions within the department. Recipients also receive collar brass, a hat badge and Class “A” hat band.

The luncheon takes place at the Peoria Civic Center with the doors opening at 11 a.m., and the luncheon beginning at Noon. Tickets for the luncheon are $50 per person and tables of 10 can be purchased for $500.
